Louise Lamensdorf

Louise Lamensdorf has spent the past 25 years creating her own style of cuisine. Being a Louisiana native and having a French grandmother, she fell in love with French food at an early age.

In 1979 Louise opened The French Apron School of Ccooking in Fort Worth. During the 10 years of this school, she apprenticed regularly with world acclaimed Hall of Fame Master Chef Charles Finance. A principal teacher of world cuisines, a host to prominent well established chefs, such as Stephan Pyles and Madelaine Kamman and her apprenticeships at Michelin starred French restaurants in Southwestern France and on the Riviera greatly sharpened her skills. Additional training with Jacques Pepin, the Cordon Bleu in New York, Riviera Michelin starred chef Jacques Chibois in Grasse and in Don Alfonso's kitchen in St. Agatha, Italy has kept Louise on the cutting edge of Modern Mediterranean cuisine.

Louise has served as executive chefs at award winning restaurants in Fort Worth since 1988. In 1996, she opened Bistro Louise concepting her individual Mediterranean Cuisine. Awards galore include top Zagat ratings in food and popularity, Gourmet's Top Tables and many local awards for Best French Restaurant.
