Cheryl & Bill Jamison

Four-time James Beard award-winner Cheryl Alters Jamison is the author of a dozen major cookbooks, including The Big Book of Outdoor Cooking and Entertaining, Smoke & Spice, A Real American Breakfast, and American Home Cooking. Cheryl's articles and recipes appear regularly in magazines such as Bon Appétit, Eating Well, Cooking Light, Fine Cooking, Every Day with Rachael Ray, and Wine Enthusiast. She has taught cooking classes in the United States and abroad for fifteen years and is noted for her ability to encourage new cooks as well as work with established pros. As a young girl, Cheryl planned to be an art teacher, but found food to be her true passion. Her cooking and teaching style reflect an interest in creative home cooking, in the celebration of lusty flavors and local ingredients—the kind of foods found in France's Dordogne.

Cheryl's husband and co-author, Bill Jamison, will assist with the classes, bringing his trademark wit, enthusiasm, and understanding of culture and history to the activities. They have been bringing groups to La Combe for a seven years. Their latest, Around the World in 80 Dinners, chronicles their joyful pursuit of the ultimate culinary adventure which, of course, includes a stop in the south of France.
