ACCOUTREMENT with CHEF BELINDA JEFFERY

Belinda's career for many years was "on the stoves" in restaurants, culminating in her own acclaimed Good Health Cafe in Sydney. She went on to become an award-winning TV food presenter, author, freelance writer, restaurant reviewer, and cooking teacher. Renowned for her warm and reassuring style, she has garnered a strong following throughout her career, for her never-fail recipes and the pleasure she receives from sharing her knowledge and love of good food with others.

She is a regular feature contributor to delicious and Selector magazines, and writes restaurant reviews for The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide. She has written three cookbooks, Belinda Jeffery's 100 Favourite Recipes; Belinda Jeffery's Tried-and-True Recipes (winner of the 2003 James Beard Award for Photography) and her latest book Mix & Bake released in 2007, which has been a great success. She has also released a series of cooking DVDs and CDs, is a familiar voice on ABC Radio, and an experienced judge for a number of industry awards, including the Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards.

In 2002 Belinda and her husband traded city life for the semi-tropical Far North Coast of New South Wales, where she now focuses on writing and teaching. The story of her move from Sydney to Mullumbimby has been published in the Penguin anthology, Scorched. She is currently working on two more cookbooks.
