ACCOUTREMENT with CHEF VALLI LITTLE

Born into a family of restaurateurs in England, Valli was destined to work in the food industry. After a formal training at Le Cordon Bleu London, she embarked on a career as a food consultant and caterer. In Australia, she worked as a banquet manager and consultant before returning to England for a year to work with her husband as a cook and butler in private homes. The opportunity to open her own gourmet food store on Sydney's North Shore prompted her return to Australia.

For the past five years she has worked as a home economist and food writer working on many successful projects, including Sydney Food with Bill Granger and the Food of Italy and Food of France series. As food editor of the highly successful ABC delicious Magazine, Valli is able to indulge her love of recipe and feature writing, often producing more than 60 recipes a month, each inspired by her travels and love of food.

Accoutrement was established in 1970 in Mosman, Australia with the objective of supplying Sydney with the best quality cookware and electrical products available. Current owner Sue Jenkins took over the business in 1982 continuing to elevate Accoutrement as an excellent cooking school widely known to be staffed by the best of Australian and international cooking teachers.
