Lora Brody & Diane Phillips

Cookbook authors and culinary educators, Lora Brody and Diane Phillips, are teaming up to offer this week's class the bonus of double the experience and double the fun.

Cooking teacher and professional photographer, Lora Brody’s latest cookbooks are Chocolate American Style and The Cape Cod Table. Her 20 other books cover everything from bread to slow cooking. She has been teaching at La Combe since it opened and finds the place, the experience, and the students who join her there to be what a food lover’s dreams are made of. She welcomes students of all and every level from the rank beginner to the seasoned pro because in her classes the students learn not only from her but from each other as well.

Diane Phillips is the author of 14 cookbooks, including the James Beard Award-nominated Perfect Party Food. A traveling cooking teacher, Diane teaches her easy, elegant do-ahead approach to entertaining and home cooking across the country. Featured at Viking Culinary Arts Centers, Sur La Table, Draeger's, and Ramekins, Diane also teaches at independent cooking schools to sold-out audiences. Her relaxed style and easy manner puts students at ease, even when it comes to holiday entertaining.

Diane began a love affair with French cooking while watching Julia Child on WGBH in Boston as a teenager. Incorporating Julia's classical methods with those of her Italian grandmother and mother, Diane helps home cooks to recreate and enjoy foods and flavors of Europe, while incorporating local and seasonal ingredients into teaching and writing.
